How to Pipe Digital Business Card Contacts Straight Into Your CRM

Connect a two-way QR business card to your CRM so every captured contact flows in automatically — via native HubSpot, a signed webhook to Zapier or Make, SMS and email. Step-by-step setup.

Capturing a contact is only useful if it lands where your team works. A two-way QR business card can push every captured lead straight into your CRM the moment it's submitted. Here's how to wire it up, whether you use HubSpot directly or route through automation.

Option A — native HubSpot

  1. Open Integrations in QRs.bd and choose Connect on the HubSpot card.
  2. Authorize QRs.bd in the HubSpot window that opens, then return to the app and tap Refresh.
  3. That's it: every captured contact is now created in your HubSpot portal with name, email, phone and company mapped automatically.
  4. Tokens are stored encrypted and refreshed for you, so the connection keeps working without re-authorizing.

Option B — webhook to Zapier, Make or your own CRM

  1. In your automation tool (Zapier, Make) create a 'Catch Hook' / webhook trigger and copy its URL.
  2. In QRs.bd Integrations, open the Lead Webhook card, paste the URL, and save — a signing secret is generated for you.
  3. Verify deliveries: each POST includes an X-QRs-Signature header (HMAC SHA-256 of the body using your secret), so your endpoint can confirm the request is genuine before processing it.
  4. Map the JSON fields (name, email, phone, company, note) to your CRM's contact fields in the automation tool, and turn the Zap or scenario on.

Belt and braces: SMS and email

Beyond the CRM, connect Twilio for an instant SMS alert and you'll have the contact on your phone seconds after they submit. Email delivery sends you the prospect's details with their vCard attached, so they save straight to your contacts too. Each channel is independent and best-effort — if your CRM endpoint is briefly down, the SMS and email still arrive and the lead is never lost.

Frequently asked questions

How do I send QR business card leads into HubSpot?

Connect HubSpot from the Integrations screen in QRs.bd and authorize the app. After that, every contact captured by a two-way card is created automatically as a HubSpot contact, with the token refreshed for you.

Can I send captured contacts to Salesforce or Pipedrive?

Yes, via the webhook. Point the Lead Webhook at a Zapier or Make hook, then route the incoming JSON into Salesforce, Pipedrive or any CRM those tools support.

How do I verify a webhook delivery is genuine?

Each POST carries an X-QRs-Signature header containing an HMAC SHA-256 of the request body signed with your webhook secret. Recompute it on your endpoint and compare before trusting the payload.

What happens if my CRM is down when a lead comes in?

Delivery channels are independent and best-effort, and the contact is always stored in your QRs.bd dashboard first. So even if the webhook or HubSpot call fails, the lead is saved and your SMS and email backups still arrive.
